One of the oldest famous trains, Southern-Express was created on October 21st, 1887, linking Paris with Irun with a connection for Madrid and Lisbon. First operated with steam locomotives, and including pullman cars in the early 20's, it switched to electric traction in 1926, led by 2D2 engines. The composition presented here is that of 1956, a BB9200 hauling a splendid train of stainless steel DEV coaches, a "blue restaurant" and Pullman cars, quite similar than contemporary composition of the "Mistral".
